Protecting God's Children

We ask that all YG parents hold current Protecting God's Children certification (course and background check), in order to be able to assist us as a parent driver for our fall trips. All volunteers working with youth in the Archdiocese of Newark must hold this certification.

If you took the PGC class more than 5 years ago (prior to December 2013), you'll need to re-certify.

All parents are asked to please complete the Registration Packet (pages 3-4 discuss our YG PGC policy) and return it to a meeting as soon as possible. The packet can be downloaded by clicking here.

More information about the PGC program and re-certification can be found in Barb's Kickoff Letter, in the Handbook, in the Fall Notes, and in the Registration Packet.

Advance registration on the Virtus website is required. For directions on how to register for a PGC class or a re-certification class, please refer to the "PGC Registration Information" handout, which is available to download below.
